Preparing For Your Termite Inspection
What to Expect and How to Prepare
Why Termite Inspections Matter
Termites often go unnoticed until serious damage is done. That’s why regular inspections are your first line of defence. Our licensed technicians are trained to spot early warning signs before they become costly problems.
How to Prepare for your Timber Pest Inspection
To ensure a smooth and thorough inspection, we ask that you:
Inside your home
- Ensure clear access to any manholes or roof void hatches
- Clear under sinks and move items away from interior walls if possible
- Avoid cleaning or disturbing areas where you’ve seen signs of termites
Outside your home
- Clear vegetation and stored items away from exterior walls
- Ensure access to subfloor areas (if applicable)
- Unlock any gates or sheds the technician may need to inspect
Important: If you’ve seen signs of termites, do not disturb the area. Avoid spraying, squashing, or poking affected timber.
Disturbing termites may cause the colony to relocate, making treatment more difficult.
What the Timber Pest Inspection Includes
Your technician will inspect:
- All accessible interior rooms
- Roof voids and subfloor areas
- External walls, fences, decks, and outbuildings
- Trees and timber structures within 30–35m of the home
You’ll receive a detailed written report outlining:
- Evidence of termite activity (if found)
- Risk areas and contributing conditions
- Professional recommendations for treatment or prevention
After the Inspection
If termites are detected, we’ll explain the best treatment options for your situation – and how to move forward.
